Fennel Salmon Pasta

  1. Can't wait to try this! Quick question- I hate fennel. like, hate. If I leave it out, would it totally ruin the dish? Any substitution recommendations?

  4. So, while watching barefoot contessa at the gym today, there was a caller that said verbatim what michi said up top--about hating fennel. Here is what contessa suggested: cut top off fennel bulb, cut bottom core out, cut in slices, put on baking sheet, drizzle with evoo, bake for 30 minutes at 350. She said it gets a great caramelized flavor. Sprinkle with a little salt and Parm.
